Implementing and Operating Cisco Wireless Core Technologies E-Learning (CPLL-WLCOR)

The Implementing and Operating Cisco Wireless Core Technologies (WLCOR) Learning Path develops professional-level expertise in implementing and operating Cisco enterprise wireless networks. You will learn wireless architecture design and physical infrastructure deployment. You will configure Cisco Catalyst 9800 Series wireless LAN controllers (WLCs), Cisco access points, and Cisco Meraki platforms for secure client connectivity. You will implement advanced features, including roaming and guest networking. You will deploy comprehensive monitoring and management solutions using Cisco Catalyst Center. You will leverage application programming interfaces (APIs) and artificial intelligence (AI) for operational automation and develop systematic troubleshooting methodologies using packet analysis and diagnostic tools.

This Learning Path prepares you for the 350-101 WLCOR v1.0 exam. If passed, you earn the Cisco Certified Specialist - Wireless Core certification and satisfy the core exam requirement for the Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) and Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) Wireless certifications.

Skills You'll Learn:

  • Design, deploy, and configure Cisco enterprise wireless networks, including Catalyst 9800 Series WLCs and Meraki platforms
  • Implement secure client connectivity and advanced features, such as roaming and guest access
  • Monitor and manage wireless networks using Cisco Catalyst Center and automated tools
  • Troubleshoot complex wireless issues using systematic methodologies and diagnostic tools
  • Apply wireless networking theory, including radio frequency (RF) principles, protocols, and channel planning, to optimize enterprise networks

 Learning Path Objectives:

  • Wireless Network Theory Review: Learn wireless networking essentials—from RF principles to 802.11ax/be features—and develop skills to design, optimize, and troubleshoot professional networks.
  • Wireless Network Implementation: Deploy and operate enterprise-grade Cisco wireless networks, design physical infrastructure, install controllers and access points, configure secure connectivity, and manage ongoing operations across Catalyst 9800 and Meraki platforms.
  • Wireless Client Connectivity: Establish secure, comprehensive client connectivity across diverse wireless environments by analyzing client capabilities, implementing authentication, and deploying advanced features like secure roaming and guest networking.
  • Wireless Network Monitoring and Management: Optimize enterprise wireless networks with Cisco Catalyst Center, monitor performance and security, enable client visibility, and automate operations with APIs and AI.
  • Wireless Network Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex wireless network issues using frame-level analysis, structured troubleshooting, and advanced diagnostics to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
